Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Acceptra (“we”, “us”) collects through this website and our waitlist, and what we do with it. Acceptra is not open yet. Before it opens, we will publish an updated policy that covers accounts, essays and everything else you would put into the product, and we will tell everyone on the waitlist.

What we collect

• When you join the waitlist: your email address. If you choose to tell us, we also keep whether you are a student, parent or counselor, your class year, and the plan you were looking at. We note which button you used to join, whether you joined for yourself or for a school, and the campaign link you arrived from, if any.
• When a school books a call: booking runs on Google Calendar, which collects your name, email address and the time you pick and shares them with us. Google’s own privacy policy covers what Google does with that information.
• When you email us: your message and your email address.
• When you visit: like any website, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, the pages requested and when.
• How you use the site: we use PostHog, an analytics service, to see how visitors find and use this page: the pages and buttons you view and click, how far you scroll, the site that sent you, and your browser and device. PostHog receives your IP address to work out your approximate country, and does not keep the address itself. We do not record replays of your visit, and we never send PostHog your email address.

How we use it

• To email you when you can get in.
• To answer your messages and arrange calls with schools.
• To understand who is interested, so we build the right thing.
• To keep the website secure and working.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We share it only with service providers that work on our behalf, such as website hosting, analytics, email storage and delivery, and scheduling, and only so they can do that work. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect someone’s safety or our rights, or as part of a merger or sale of the company, in which case we will tell you first. The waitlist itself is stored by Cloudflare, which hosts this website.

Emails from us

We email the waitlist when we open. Every email from us has an unsubscribe link, or you can email hello@acceptra.ai and we will take you off the list.

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist information until you ask us to delete it or we no longer need it for the waitlist, whichever comes first. To be taken off the waitlist, email hello@acceptra.ai and we will delete your entry within 30 days. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited time.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you by emailing hello@acceptra.ai. We will answer within 30 days. Depending on where you live, such as the European Union, the United Kingdom or California, you may have further rights under local law; we honor these requests wherever you live. Where the law asks for a legal basis, we rely on your consent for waitlist emails, which you can withdraw at any time, and on our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and understanding how it is used.

Cookies and your device

This site and its analytics store nothing on your device: no cookies, no local storage, no advertising cookies or tracking pixels. The one exception is the booking step you see when you choose “For my school”, which embeds Google Calendar; Google may set its own cookies there under Google’s privacy policy.

Students and children

Acceptra is for people 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, email us and we will delete it. If you are under 18, please check with a parent or guardian before joining.

Security and location

We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold, but no method of storing or sending data is completely secure. Our service providers may store and process information in the United States.

Changes

When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will email the waitlist.
